Springfield Plumbing Supply was started in the early 1930\'s, doing business in the downtown Chestnut St area of Springfield, Massachusetts. Around the 1940\'s ,Springfield Plumbing was purchased by a company based in Buffalo, New York and they moved the operation to 29 Sheffield St in the city and continued doing business for the next 30 years.
In 1974 a small group of local business men purchased the company from the Buffalo based owner. In 1984 they added a second building next to their existing building on Sheffield St and the operation grew to one of the largest locally owned plumbing and heating supply houses in Western Mass and Northern Ct. Two of these men had sons who began working for them in the mid 70\'s and today Donald Barnard, Jr. and Michael J. Regan have taken over the business from their fathers, Donald Barnard Sr, who retired in 2007, and Leo F. Regan who passed away in 2001.
On June 1st, 2011 they moved the business to its current location at 660 Broadway Street in Chicopee, Massachusetts; on the Springfield/Chicopee line across from the Springfield Plaza - taking over the former Pond Elkberg Printing Co. building. They have done a total renovation of the 41,000 s/f facility - including new offices, counter, warehouse and includes a brand new retail showroom called the THE PLUMBERS SHOWCASE - where customers can browse a wide selection of tubs, showers, sinks, toilets and hardware from some of the industries leading manufacturers.
The current owners are extremely proud that the company is locally owned and operated dating back to the 1970\'s and maintains an excellent inventory of plumbing and heating products with knowable sales people, excellent prices and service for all our present and future customers .We will continue to provide the best products, prices, knowledge and service to all our current customers and future ones.
